Meet Our Instructors

Your child will learn from passionate, experienced instructors who are dedicated to both artistic excellence and nurturing each dancer’s growth. With years of professional performance and teaching experience, our team creates a supportive environment where every student can thrive.

Laura Martin (Director/Instructor)

Laura Martin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Education from The University of the Arts. Her professional performance credits include the East Coast tour of Simply the Best, a Tina Turner revue starring Suzette Dorsey, corporate engagements with Cirque USA, and the international tour of Sesame Street Live, where she performed as a featured role.

In addition to her performance career, Laura has worked with dance competitions as a judge, adjudicator, and guest artist. She has served as adjunct dance faculty at Camden County College as well as dance team coach at Alvernia University. Laura has taught at numerous studios, many of her students have gone on to be accepted into prestigious dance programs and pursue professional careers in the field. Laura is also a certified yoga instructor.

Committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment, Laura is a certified mandated reporter and holds up to date child abuse, National Sex Offender Registry, and criminal background clearances.

Kate Gow (Guest Artist)

Kate Gow is a multidisciplinary dance artist. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Dance performance from the Boston Conservatory and was the Conservatory's first graduate to create an emphasis in Dance & Technology, performing in works by Doug Varone, Merce Cunningham, Kate Weare, and Keith Thompson, among others. She is also currently part of the Consciously Produced production team, serving as the Creative Producer of the Conference for Research on Choreographic Interfaces (CRCI) out of Brown University.

 

Her professional performance credits include Ruckus Dance (MA), Laila J. Franklin (MA), and work as an artist resident for CRCI's Microgravity in Movement residency (NY), featured in Dance Magazine and The New York Times. She has taught for ten years at various locations, including Richmond Dance Center, Cumulus Dance, and Linden Hall School for Girls, and grounds her pedagogy in joyful movement and somatically informed instruction.
